This woman was physically attacked and left for dead. She didn't carry any protection or have any training in self defense because she didn't really think it would happen to her. That's the biggest problem, that you don't think it will happen to you, praise God that it won't, but it can.
According to the Department of Justice, every 107 seconds, someone in the U.S. is sexually assaulted. That makes for about 293,000 victims of sexual violence every year (among victims age 12 or older). While sexual violence has declined by more than 60% in the last two decades, it is still a crime that impacts nearly every family in America and abroad.
Please do something to protect yourself by taking a self defense class learning how to spot potential attackers and what you can do to prevent it or get away before it takes place. I have posted lots of links and information to organizations that can help you learn how to take action to defend yourself or to be aware of your surroundings and detect possible attackers so you can get away before it happens to you or a loved one. So please check it out. Have a great day and stay safe. You can do it, don't become a victim. Take action now.
